This is one of my most frequently visited campsites this year. It is in a scenic location, as the site is elevated there are fantastic views across the valley to a windfarm on the far side, and the dramatic facade of Benbradagh Mountain to the other side of the site. The pitches are level and well drained and the site has a neat, well tended appearance. There are two amenity blocks, one of which is housed in an old farm building resembling an Irish Cottage. Both blocks have a small campers kitchen, and a sitting area which is essential for campers caught in prolonged rain. The Irish Cottage is the nicest of the two, with it's wood burning stove with fuel provided by the campsite owner. The sitting room is like a small museum with interesting curios all around it. There is also a games room in this cottage, with a corner dedicated to laundry and a campers fridge and freezer. The laundry facilities consist of washing machine, dryer, and washing powder is provided. The Laundry is paid for via an Honesty Box.

There are two toilets with showers in the same room as the toilet in the Irish Cottage, and in the other amenity block there are three or four toilets and 2 showers in both a male and female section. Just watch out for extremely hot water from the taps, for little hands particularly.

The site has a play area with some equipment for children. The owner can provide a firepit if asked for. This is one of the few sites in Northern Ireland that can provide an electricity supply for campers as well as caravanners.
