The campsite is basic and expensive for what you get in return - a basic pitch and showers only at certain times, and the owner quite rude, BUT.........
If you are willing to put up with this, it is the best campsite for spectacular views and beach access. It's such a beautiful area, the reason our family visit often, and fellow campers are so friendly.
Also....
One major update and a benefit to the campsite is the onsite cafe, added last year. They offer everything from coffee to steak pies, paracetemols to flip flops. And the owners are lovely too, giving advice and even loaned me a map one day. They have takeaway chips, sarnies and drinks too, which is so handy for taking down to the beach, or sitting outside taking in the views.
So, all in all, basic but worthwhile, and would recommend

The location of the camp is fantastic - close to the big beach...
But ...the owner - an old woman is a very rude woman.
We could not look at the place before. Only after much pleading a visit was possible.
The showers are open only a few hours. One feels in them as in a stable. You can always see the head of your neighbor. Only one shower had a lockable door. I first had a pipe and the shower head screws back together. The grass on the pitches was very high. Between the individual tents was hardly any room. The car was not allowed to be parked beside the tent. The owner controlled everything. The place was not lighted. The light was broken in the very small room with the sink. Hot water was only there for 20p.
But all these things had their good side - the people came together to talk and became friends regardless of their nationality.

fabulous location, amenities very very basic, although clean. Owner Mrs Price - one of the rudest people I have met, totally unprofessional - needs considerable management and people skills. Spoke to a number of people on site who would not return, us included.

Unfortunately the site is in an idyllic location and we would have loved to return and we would have put up with the basic amenities but NOT THE OWNER.

campsite very rundown. Owner extremely rude. Showers not cleaned, owner said they were shut until cleaned the next day. Didn't get what I had asked for when booked, and owner didn't care. had to wait at least half an hour next to closed gate, until owner came. even though we had arrived at the time she suggested. NO apology from her, except she
was eating a sandwich. Didn't stay, she gave us some of our money back.
My family and I nine in total were looking forward to this site as you could walk to the beach. Great for the grand children and dogs we thought.
